The Hug Break marmot

Privacy Policy

Hug Break · Effective 2 November 2026

The short version

Hug Break doesn't collect any personal data. Everything you put in the app stays on your phone. There are no accounts, ads, analytics or tracking, and nothing is sold or shared.

What stays on your phone

This is never sent anywhere. Deleting the app deletes all of it.

Contacts

If you tap Choose from contacts, the app asks for access to your contacts. It only reads the one contact you pick, and saves their name and phone number on your phone.

Notifications

Your reminders are scheduled on your phone. No server sends them.

Sending messages

When you send a message, Hug Break opens the messaging app you chose (such as Messages, WhatsApp or Telegram) with the text filled in. What you send there is covered by that app's own privacy policy.

Feedback emails

If you send feedback, the email includes the app version, your phone's system version and the app's language, to help me look into problems. I only use your email to reply and to improve the app, and I don't share it.

Purchases

Apple handles payment for the app. Apple's privacy policy covers your purchase.

Children

Hug Break isn't aimed at children under 13 and doesn't collect data from anyone.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date. Questions? Email nzmattgrant@gmail.com.
